Wednesday on Archer and Bell with John Michaels:

-ESPN College GameDay's Kirk Herbstreit joined us to get ready for a big college football weekend. Kirk told us that Northwestern has a chance to make a big statement against Ohio State this weekend. "Herbie" also gave us his thoughts on the offense vs. defense debate in the SEC.

-Yahoo Sports baseball writer Jeff Passan got us ready for the looming Major League Baseball playoffs. Jeff gave his breakdown of the Pirates and the Cardinals division series as well as the Braves match-up with the Dodgers.

-The University of Miami head coach Al Golden called into the show to talk about his team's hot start. Coach Golden told us that he hasn't had any players wanting to leave because of the NCAA investigation and talked about Georgia Tech.

-Atlanta Falcons President and CEO Rich McKay was on the show for his weekly segment today. Rich talked about the teams' slow start and regular season games vs. postseason games. He also talked about the new stadium.

-Keith Armstrong, Falcons' special teams coach, sat down in this week's "Coach's Corner." Coach Armstrong talked about his pleasure with the onside kick Sunday night, Harry Douglas as a kick returner and respecting the opponent.
