Thursday July 11 2013

During the baseball portion of our program Chipper and Mike recapped Freddie Freeman's big night last night. They touched on Freeman winning the All Star Fan Vote and helping the Braves to a big win last night. Chipper also talked about having his number retired and what a great experience that was for him. Below you will find two cuts from the guys talking about Freeman overtaking Puig and Chipper's comments on having his number retired.

We started the last portion of our program and talked tons of college football. Leading off was UNC Head Coach Larry Fedora. He gave us great insight into Falcons offensive tackle Lamar Holmes. He coached Lamar at Southern Miss and had great things to say about the Falcons recent draft pick. His team is kicking off the college football season in just 48 days against South Carolina. He talked about the Gamecocks and what it will take to win on the road in week 1. Below you will see cuts of both comments from Coach Fedora.

Next we went knee deep into the UGA/Clemson game in week 1. First we spoke with Pete Yanity who is the play by play voice of the Clemson Tigers. He talked about how back in the 1980's the Georgia vs Clemson rivalry was one of the best in college football. He also gave us insight into Falcons draft pick Malliciah Goodman. Both of his comments on the rivalry between UGA and Clemson along with his thoughts on Malliciah Goodman.

To finish things up, we spoke with Jeff Dantzler of the Georgia football radio network. He gave us the Georgia side of things as it pertains to the Clemson game. He talked about the importance of the Clemson game and Georgia's tough start to the 2013 schedule.
