Tuesday on Archer and Bell with John Michaels:
-Host of ESPN's PTI, Michael Wilbon, joined the show to talk about all of the news around the world of sports. Mike thought the NBA Finals and NHL Stanley Cup Finals were equally compelling and the lack of game 7 did not take away from the Cup. He gave us his take on the day-by-day progression of Lebron James' legacy:
Mike also told us his opinion on whether or not Josh Smith could actually end up in Boston:
-The Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in crushing fashion last night over the Boston Bruins. The Blackhawks scored 2 goals within the last minute and a half! This marks the second championship in the last four years for the team from Chicago, and Mike and Arch both wonder if higher ratings mean hockey is on the uptick.
-The Boston Bruin's crushing defeat last night brought up an interesting side topic for today's show, what are some of the most heartbreaking defeats in sports history. Mike being a Florida State guy brought up all of the "wide right" games, but some of our best defeats came vie the text line such as the SEC Championship Game and “Lethal Weapon” 3 losing at Georgia Tech!
