On The Red Zone

Today on the show:

  • At 12:02 when we began the show, Hans checked the pulse of John and made sure he was still ok after last night's Miami loss. John gave the credit to Marquette and said the Canes couldn't hit any shots.

  • At 12:32, the guys took a look at the updated Falcons depth chart after the new free agent additions. John said he is warming up to the idea of Steven Jackson as the Falcons primary RB. He originally didn't like the move, but thinks its better now after a few days to think about it.

  • Both John and Hans mentioned they are worried about the depth at Cornerback. Besides Asante Samuel the team really does not have many proven players in the defensive backfield. John said the team must address this in the draft with their early picks.

  • During the second hour at 1:18 the guys previewed the Sweet 16 games from tonight. Hans said the game he is most looking forward to is Michigan State/Duke. The coaching matchup in that game will be great between Tom Izzo and Coach K.

  • Towards the end of the show at 1:48, we made the announcement that Brad Stevens has decided to stay at Butler and not leave for UCLA. Earlier in the show, we speculated that UCLA had made Stevens its #1 choice to be its new head coach.
