Today on the show:

  • Is Johnny Venters going to begin the season on the DL for the Braves? At 12:48 Hans gave his thoughts on the situation and said if he does, its not good to have one of the Braves top relievers already hurt before the season even starts.

  • Also at 12:48, Wes gave us his first look into Georgia Tech's spring practice. He said things are going well and mentioned the importance of the defense picking up Ted Roof's new schemes in these spring practices.

  • During the second segment at 12:18, Hans asked Wes if Peter Konz could slide over from Guard and take over for the departed Todd McClure at Center. Wes said that is certainly a possibility as Mike Smith must reshuffle his offensive line with the retirement of McClure.

  • With the news that Miami center Reggie Johnson will not be making the trip to D.C. for the Sweet 16, how does that affect the Hurricanes game plan? He is out with a slight meniscus issue and will need some time for it to heal. Hans said he was not starting the last few games and he thinks Miami will not miss Johnson when they take on Marquette. Even John Michaels texted into the show and mentioned that Johnson was only averaging 2.9 points per game over his last 10 games so it won't be a big loss for the Canes.

  • For today's Stat of The Day, at 12:56 Hans mentioned that more women over the age of 50 watched last years world series than men under the age of 50. Baseball ratings have suffered over the last several years and this is just one more statistic that proves that.
