On The Red Zone

Friday March 8 2013

Today on the show:

  • During the first hour of the show we talked exclusively about the Falcons and their deal with the city of Atlanta to get a new stadium.

  • Hans still thinks a new stadium is a bad idea and he does not know what's wrong with the Georgia Dome in the first place. John on the other hand pointed out that if Atlanta does not build another stadium, they will not host another Super Bowl. He says it would be a huge financial boost for the city for Atlanta to host another Super Bowl. For that reason John says he is in favor of the Falcons building a stadium with a retractable roof.

  • The guys also got into a big debate about former Rams RB Stephen Jackson and if he would be a good fit for the Falcons. John thinks that Jackson is over the hill and not an improvement over Michael Turner. Hans on the other hand said he would love it if Jackson came to the Falcons and pointed out he did not get very many carries last year with the Rams. Hans thinks Jackson still has lots still left in the tank and would be a great fit in the Falcons organization.

  • We took lots of calls from listeners sounding off on the new Falcons stadium and if they want Stephen Jackson in a Falcons uniform next season.
