On The Red Zone

Thursday February 21 2013

Today on the show:

- Our first guest of the day was UGA A.D Greg McGarity. One of the most important things he said was the NCAA needs to do something about the number of assistant coaches allowed on football teams. He believes if the NCAA set a cap at the number of assistants teams could have, it would even the playing field for all teams. He touched on this and you can hear the audio by clicking below!

- At the top of the second hour at 1:02 we were joined by Craig Barnes. He was a long time Miami beat reporter for the Sun Sentinel. He talked about how Miami President Donna Shalala has been adamently upsset at the NCAA issuing her school a notice of allegations. Shalala has said the NCAA's claims are "unsubstantiated." Craig says that Shalala can complain all she wants but her institution signed up to follow the rules and regulations the NCAA puts forth. Click below to hear audio from Craig talking about Shalala and her complaints.
