Today on The Red Zone:

- We recapped the national championship game with Tony being down there and whitnessing it live in person. Tony mentioned how seeing the two teams up close he could really tell a stark difference in the athleticism difference between Alabama's players and Notre Dame's players. He said the atmosphere was great but the game got out of hand early with Alabama dominating.

- At 12:32 we were joined by Mike Sando. He is the NFC West Blogger for ESPN.com and covers the Seahawks extensively. He talked about the loss of Chris Clemons and how it might impact Seattle's defense. He said it won't have the same negative impact playing the Falcons as it would playing San Francisco. Click below to hear why Mike made such a judgement and decide for yourself how big of an injury Clemons is for Seattle:

- During our "ITP" segment at 12:48 we talked about how Georgia Tech and Georgia both lost on the hardwood last night. Wes said Georgia Tech played really hard and is getting better but went through a scoring drought that was the difference last night.

Georgia on the other hand, suffered a humiliating loss to Florida. They lost 77-44 and now must bounce back against Mississippi State at home this weekend.

Lastly. we discussed Georgia Tech hiring Ted Roof as their new defensive coordinator. He comes over from Penn State after 1 year on Bill O'Brien's staff. Both Wes and Tony think its a great hire for the Jackets and he should have the defense playing much better next season.
