On The Red Zone

On Today's Red Zone:

  • During the first hour at 12:48 we went "ITP" and discussed Georgia Tech trying to rebound from their first ACC loss of the season to Miami last week. They take on NC State tonight in Raleigh. Also, we discussed if Braves legend Dale Murphy will finally get his call into the Hall Of Fame.

  • During the second hour we spent the vast majority of it talking about the Falcons and their missteps in the playoffs. We asked the question, Are they physical enough to win in the postseason? Beau pointed out that the Falcons have shown flashes of physicality this season but not over a stretch of games.

  • We also discussed the fact that the Falcons are the healthiest they have been all year and should be at full strength going into Sunday's game. The Seahawks have even had to place their kicker Steven Hauschka on the IR with a calf injury. He suffered the injury last week in Washington on the horrible turf on Fed Ex Field.

  • The Seahawks have subsequently signed veteran kicker Ryan Longwell to replace Hauschka on their roster. The guys think this has the potential to play a huge role in the game Sunday. A new kicker who has not played in a while could be rusty and if the game comes down to a field goal, you have to like the Falcons chances.
