Inside The Locker Room

Thursday in The Locker Room:

  • Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff made his weekly stop by the Locker Room as he and his staff begin their winter draft meetings and he told Crump and JP the team will be in prime position for May's selections.
  • Dimitroff also talked about this Sunday's opponent, and told the guys that he really appreciates the way the Green Bay Packers run their organization.
  • ESPN NFL analyst and former Head Coach Herm Edwards joined the show and pointed out how poor tackling has created much of the injuries, penalties and sub-par play that has hampered games this season.
  • Herm also talked about the down year for the Falcons and told Crump and JP that this is a blip rather than a trend.
  • FOX and NFL Network analyst Brian Billick made his regular stop by the show and he echoed Coach Edwards thoughts on the Falcons fortunes moving forward.
  • Coach Billick also told the guys that he wouldn't see the Falcons walk off the field at Lambeau on Sunday with the victory.
  • Missouri Head Coach Gary Pinkel called in prior to bringing his Tigers to town for the SEC Championship and he gave major kudos to his opponent for the matchup, the Auburn Tigers.
  • While many have called Mizzou a suprise sensation in the SEC, Coach Pinkel told the guys that he always believed his program could reach this level.
