Promotions Department Internships
Full Time Marketing and Promotions Internship
Time Commitment: June through November (6 month term)
Position Summary: Sports Radio 790 The Zone is seeking an outgoing individual who is hungry to get into the marketing/promotions industry. Simply put, we are looking for a winner! The individual should have the capacity to handle several different projects at one time while being efficient in the areas of time management and prioritizing. The ideal candidate is creative and an out of the box thinker while being detailed oriented as it relates to daily tasks and projects in the office. Being a promotionally driven company, Sports Radio 790 The Zone will rely on this person to become a true team member and get involved in all aspects of all promotions. The person will be responsible for the following job duties among others; brainstorming of promotional ideas, planning and execution of station events and sales promotions, general office duties, managing on-site broadcasts and appearances, recapping of promotions, maintaining and organizing promotional items and vehicles, scheduling, writing commercials, being a good ambassador of the station, and most importantly having fun.
Position Requirements: The above position requires, most importantly, the ability to interact with others in a very personable and outgoing nature. In addition, qualities that are looked upon as required are; organizational skills, the desire to learn, passion, motivation, and again, sociable. College credit is preferred, but certainly not required. Also, the position requires 30 hours per week in the office as well as on-site for promotions as needed. Score Atlanta is looking for interns from the metro area to help us out with our five prep editions. Those that join will have opportunities to write beats for several local high school athletic programs as well as cover stories on occasion. You must be at least 16-years-old and prior experience, while appreciated, is not required.
