Once again The Southeast's media elite have gathered in Hoover Alabama. Along with a gaggle of mouth breathing, knuckle dragging goobers milling about the hotel lobby with Arkansas or Alabama helmets hoping for an autograph from a player or coach. TV and radio is here from places like Fayetteville, Arkansas and Lake City, Florida. Anybody who thinks Atlanta radio stinks should spend five minutes on the radio row here at The Wynfrey. From reciting amendments to the SEC rule book to breaking down LSU's 4th string tight end, listening to these shows make you feel that radio announcing is just one step above circus clown on the entertainment ladder.

There's a two man show from upstate South Carolina that has a large station banner behind them featuring a huge picture of the hosts doing their show. It's like that scene in "Airplane" when airport manager Lloyd Bridges lights a cigarette and stands behind his desk with a large framed painting of him standing behind his desk in the exact same pose...

The big topic this week is agents or as Nick Saban calls them pimps. Apparently there was a Memorial Day agent-palooza party in South Beach that may or may not have lured some of the SEC's brightest stars to the "Liv" club at The Fontainebleau. If it's true Bama loses Marcell Dareus one of their few studs returning on defense. South Carolina may lose their tight end and Georgia fans are holding their breath that AJ Green was not in attendance,

Bobby "The Weasel" Petrino avoided radio row again this year, less he be asked some questions about what spineless creep he is...

We interviewed Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram, he is very impressive young man. Not the typical dumb jock.

Commissioner Mike Slive made his state of SEC union speech yesterday and dozens of Media members fell asleep standing up.
