LeBron ... the diva?

Let me just start by saying this -- I love LeBron James. But I am getting so sick and tired of all the media hoopla surrounding him.
It just doesn't make any sense. It's all about hype and attention, and while I have always liked the guy, this is really turning me off to him altogether.
This whole situation is for little more than attention and hype, but at this point, what do you do? I'll watch the ESPN special, and that's the part that sucks. I'll watch it, you'll watch it and so will everyone else.
With that being said, something about this whole situation just doesn't seem right. I do like that they have tried to keep the final decision a secret, but it will get out. The rumors are that he is off to Miami, according to ESPN this morning, but it remains to be seen if that will be his final decision, or even if that will be the final destination LeBron is linked to before he makes his official decision.
It would be very tough to leave his friends and family in Cleveland. Those people have worked so hard to keep him in his hometown with all the petitions and campaigns ... how do you walk away from that?
Either way, he is proving himself to be quite the diva. And this whole free agency period has been tough to watch.
Even the Dwyane Wade-Chris Bosh press conference was a little much, but at least they didn't need a one-hour special in prime time. But did you hear what Wade said about the Eastern Conference's contenders in the upcoming season?
He listed Miami, Chicago, Boston, and New York as the big four for next year. Notice anyone missing? While you may be thinking, "It's Cleveland he left out," I'm thinking about a team a little closer to home -- the Hawks. Do the big names of the NBA really think this little of the Hawks? If they are right, we could be in for a long season.
So sit back and relax tonight as LeBron decides his future for the next six years, and just know that while I'm a fan of LeBron and everything he has done for the league, something about this evening just doesn't sit well with me.
