5 Things That Made The Falcons Win On Sunday So Freaking Awesome!

5 Things That Made The Falcons Win on Sunday SO Freaking Awesome!

  1. Quizz Rodgers-The dude was balling huge on Sunday. Not only did he have the run of the year when he literally obliterated Earl Thomas and just kept right on rocking but the block he made on the Ryan to Tony play for field goal range was the most important play of his Falcons career. He is a legitimate weapon that needs to be game planned for and that is all good news.

  2. Jonathan Babineaux Bull Rush- Who would have thought that the Babineaux sack at the end of the first half was literally the play that saved the game, but it was. If Seattle put a touchdown or at the very least a field goal on the board at the end, Falcons may have been playing Hail Mary in the closing seconds.

  3. Roddy White lighting up Richard Sherman- Oh that Richard Sherman he's a piece of work. After a quarter and a half of yapping and talking and carrying on, what a delight to see Roddy take in the long ball from Matty Ice and then cozy up to Sherman to say, "Let's have a chat."

  4. Mike Smith out coaching Pete Carroll- Make no mistake, Coach Smith had a phenomenal day and Pete Carroll did not. It was Smitty and Mike Nolan who came up with the game plan to totally shut down Marshawn Lynch. Also it was Smitty's clock management at the end that shined while Carroll butchered the end of the first half with game changing mental breakdowns.

  5. Falcon Fans, We Deserved It- After generations of pain for Falcons fans, let's be honest, we all thought we had hit the mother lode of heartbreak when Seattle punched it in with under 40 seconds left. To see Falcon fans who hung in their with their team be rewarded with a historic last second playoff win was simply as sweet as it gets. To hear callers on the air talk about crying and then hugging complete strangers in the Dome and in bars around town is simply something that our fans deserved more than any group of fans in the nation.
