Spring Steak Tips: Things I can guarantee before Summer

I will be left scratching my head at the series finale of "Lost" and saying, "Is that really all there is?" This, by the way, is less of an indictment on the program and more of an indictment of the fans of the show, like myself. We all have this incredibly unrealistic expectation regarding how one should feel when this series ends. Think "The Sopranos" five years ago and the uproar that little final scene in the diner caused. We wanted Tony whacked, Carmela decapitated, Meadow to marry an FBI agent, whatever. Likewise, we need this Lost finale to be legendary, leave our mouth agape, change the way we look at the universe and interact with the world. What do we want, Jack to be God, Locke to represent Dante's Inferno, Hurley to actually be the Greek God Dionnysus?
Whatever. Let's enjoy the show for what it was -- wonderfully written, super creative and one that actually made us think a little bit and actually engage our fellow man in conversation.
Things I can guarantee before Summer:
- The NBA Finals will have games end sometime after midnight on a regular basis, leaving myself and many other good, working folks groggy eyed the next day. Just wondering if we could schedule a few more bonus TV timeouts for the post-season ...
- I will be at a Mexican restaurant out on a deck with my kids and wife on a Friday night and drink two too many Margaritas upon having to endure the painful multiple song sets of a Sandy Springs Mariachi band ...
- I will continue to enjoy what TV rookies Jon Smoltz and Tom Glavine are bringing to the Atlanta Braves TV broadcasts ...
- I will be thoroughly unimpressed by the hiring of the new Atlanta Hawks head coach ...
- I will over-analyze how well I am mastering my Big Green Egg ...
- I will spend way too much time during my morning show daydreaming about the prime rib sandwich at Houston's ...
- The Tampa Bay Rays will day-in and day-out clearly be the best team in baseball and their fans will clearly be the sorriest in all of sports ...
- Marv Albert and Doug Collins doing the Western Conference Finals for TNT will be as good a basketball broadcast as any you have ever heard ...
- I will hurl something at my TV watching Rasheed Wallace in the NBA Finals ...
- I will eat too much chicken parmesan ...
- Georgia Tech will win the College World Series and one of my favorite people in all of sports, Danny Hall, will get his just due ...
- I will drink at least one cup a day of iced coffee from Caribou Coffee ...
- I will probably never get around to seeing Iron Man 2 ...
